Problemas conductuales y disfunción ejecutiva: Factores de vulnerabilidad y protección de niñas y adolescentes en acogimiento residencial

Abstract
El presente estudio analizó los problemas ejecutivos, emocionales y conductuales de 148 niñas que residían en hogares de acogida de la Asociación Nuevo Futuro (España). Además, examinó si su perfil era diferente al de 170 varones que residían en los mismos hogares y en qué medida la edad puede estar relacionada con estos problemas. Para ello se utilizó el Sistema de Evaluación de Niños y Adolescentes y la Evaluación Conductual de la Función Ejecutiva. El análisis estadístico se hizo utilizando métodos tanto frecuentistas como bayesianos. De acuerdo con los hallazgos obtenidos, las menores presentaron más problemas conductuales y ejecutivos que los varones, así como mayores problemas de depresión y de control de la ira. Como factor de protección, destaca la mayor autoestima con la que cuentan las mujeres, mientras que un factor de riesgo parecer ser su mayor tendencia a aislarse. Estos hallazgos sugieren la necesidad de tener en cuenta la dimensión de género a la hora de diseñar e implementar intervenciones en población en situación de acogida.
